Below is a step-by-step guide on how to transfer a patient to another room within the same ward.

Step 1: On the Room Overview page, select the room tile you wish to transfer the patient from.

Step 2: Select the patient’s name on the Room Actions page

Step 3: Select the “Transfer Room” button on the Patient Overview page.

‍

Step 4: On the Transfer Room page, use the dropdown box to select the room that you wish to transfer the patient to and then select the “Confirm Transfer” button^1.

^{1 Please note: If you select a room which is already occupied/has a patient assigned to it, you will be presented with the following warning message: “This room is already occupied, please transfer [name of patient] out of Room [number of room] first.” The “Confirm Transfer” button will not be available if an occupied room is selected from the dropdown list.}

On completion of the transfer, you will be returned to the Room Actions page where you have just removed the patient from. The patient’s name will be replaced with “+Occupant”.

The patient’s details will be assigned to the newly selected room. Please refer to the ‘How to view or edit a patient’s details’ module for details on how to view the patient’s details.

You must be trained to use the system. Your Oxehealth Ward Lead can arrange this for you – or ask your manager.
