Alerts and warnings
Oxevision can “see” movement in the room, rather like a human eye would. It knows where the critical areas in the room are, for example, the bed and the door. It can use movement in those areas to trigger alerts to staff that a patient may need help or assistance. Note that Oxevision does not monitor a patient’s bathroom; it only knows if they have entered the bathroom.
The combination of alerts and warnings will vary from ward to ward as they are tailored to the specific needs of the patients on each ward. Please refer to your training for a detailed list on what alerts and warnings are active on your ward. Some examples are shown below:
Warnings are visual only and will come and go automatically.
Alerts are visual AND audible, and must be manually disabled or “Reset” by a member of staff.
For detailed instructions on how to reset an alert, please visit Series 3 “How to view or reset an alert”.
IMPORTANT: Remember, moving the bed location may impact the accuracy of alerts. Small changes in bed location will be detected automatically by Oxevision (<50cm), for example, if a staff member needs to move the bed for cleaning or personal care. However, large moves to another part of the room will require Oxehealth to be notified as soon as possible.
