  • Oxevision works by using person detection and movement to predict where individual people are located in the room. It will then display the respective room state, including configured warnings and alerts to inform users that a patient may need help or assistance.

  • Warnings and Alerts are configured depending on your organisation. Please speak to your manager to understand what warnings and alerts you have enabled.

  • Warnings vs Alerts:
  1. If a room tile turns orange, this means a visual warning has been displayed on the Oxevision platform for that room.
  2. If a room tile turns red, this means a visual and audible alert has been displayed and must be manually disabled by a member of staff by pressing ‘Reset’ on the Alerts tab on any Oxevision device.

  • Oxevision will not alert you to adverse changes in vital signs including abnormally high or low pulse or breathing rates and is not intended to be used to detect the cessation of vital signs. Please refer to the Vital Signs Instructions for Use (IFU) for further information.

  • Oxevision cannot verify a patient’s identity, so a second occupant in the room may cause the platform to misinterpret their movement as the patient’s and display inaccurate room states.

  • Beds should be left in their original location wherever possible (allowing for small movements of <50cm) unless absolutely necessary as this could prevent Oxevision from correctly detecting a person as “In Bed”. Please get in touch with Oxehealth if a bed has been moved or you plan to move a bed.

  • Oxevision is a supportive tool. You should never rely solely on the platform to ensure patient safety. Usage should be in line with your standard operating procedure.
