Lesson 1: Introducing Oxevision
Let's take a look at what Oxevision is and what you can expect to see.
- Oxevision is a contactless patient monitoring platform for mental health to improve safety, quality and efficiency by enhancing how clinicians:
- Observe
- Intervene
- Plan
- There are two instances where users can get direct access to view live video feed:
1. Vital Signs Observations: You will see a live up to 15 second clear video feed to verify patient safety.
2. Alerts: When an alert is triggered on the Overview screen, and you select the 'view room' button on the alerts tab. You will see a live 15 second blurred video (non- personal data) into the room.
- Oxevision is a supportive tool. You should never rely solely on the platform to ensure patient safety. Usage should be in line with your standard operating procedure.
- To ensure patient privacy and tablet security please ensure tablet pin numbers are not displayed to unauthorised staff, patients, or their family members, for example written on the back on the device or written in a visible area within the office and do not leave tablet devices unlocked and unoccupied within patient or public areas
